EAST WEST RAIL PHASE 2
Scheme: EWR Phase 2 - Site Compound & Haul Roads Demobilisation / Reinstatement Works

Scope of Works:
The East West Rail scheme will re-establish a rail link between Cambridge and Oxford to improve connections between East Anglia and central, southern and western England.
Phase 2 will upgrade and reconstruct existing and mothballed (no longer in use) sections of line that link Bicester to Bletchley and Milton Keynes. This phase is being funded by the Department for Transport with a contribution from the East West Rail Consortium.
Site Compound & Haul Roads Demobilisation / Reinstatement Works:
As part of Phase 2 C.Dowdy have been commissioned to Demobilise and Reinstate Site Compounds & Haul Road including;

Removal of all redundant drainage pipes, chambers, ditches, ponds, redundant ducting, draw pits, imported aggregates, temporary tarmac and concrete surfacing, geotextiles/geo-grids, concrete foundations and utility protection slabs, perimeter and internal fencing, newt fencing & silt fencing.

The reinstatement of subsoil to original levels and replacement of topsoil (from existing stockpiles on site) to original levels – inline with site specific Soil Management Plans.

Reinstatement of existing land drains where intersected by temporary compound drainage
